DIY Halloween Costumes

Hello my lovely friends! If you don’t already know me, my name is Brandi Kimberly. I am a fashion blogger and Instagram Influencer (@cutebrandik).  I’ve been blogging for 3 years on cutebrandik.com but I took a break in the spring because I started classes for my Master’s Degree. I am excited to get back into the swing of things!  I hope this new blog will be equally, if not, more inspirational to you all.
Halloween Costumes
Today I am going to share 2 DIY Halloween Costumes that are super easy to put together.  I love Halloween because it’s a holiday where you get to play dress up for the night!  I used to buy my costumes all the time, but there is just something so genuine about putting a costume together yourself.  The best part is, I used outfits that are currently in my closet.  I hope you find these costume ideas helpful or inspiring to add a little creativity to your Halloween look.

The Scarecrow

I came up with this idea because overalls are making a huge comeback in the world of fashion this year.  I used a denim jumper and one of my favorite plaid shirts.  To finish the look, I added a big black hat and some pointy booties.  The only thing I bought, was the face stickers from the Spirit Halloween store but you can use makeup to draw on the facial details of a scarecrow.

The Flapper

This would be my go-to costume during a night out on the town!  I used a cute black dress that I bought on sale at Nordstrom during the spring but I haven’t had the chance to wear until now.  This dress is perfect because of the length and it is very classy.  I added a long necklace and some kitten heels. I grab a fur boa that belongs to a sweater-vest I own.  The only thing I recently bought was the headband.  I bought this headband off Amazon and it is inspired by “The Great Gatsby,” one of my favorite books and I also loved the movie.  You can grab this beautiful headband right here!  Are there any Great Gatsby fans out there?  Do you prefer the book, the movie, or both?

Meet Bones and Bug

These two are my fur babies and if you follow me on Instagram, you see them all over my stories! Are you a dog person or a cat person?  I like both!
Have a Happy Halloween!
